KOLKATA, INDIA
Located in West Bengal, India, this painting of lord Ganesha in the home of the Sihkwal family was requested by the matriarch and grandma. This mural is located in their garden, painted using outdoor house paints and took 3 days to complete. It is an extension and replica of a traditional Mughal painting from ancient India.
PAI, THAILAND
Located in the north of Thailand, this mural depicts a multi-headed Buddha for a lounge and bar in the hippy capital of Asia. The original sketches were done in Angkor Wat in Cambodia only a month prior, where I completed over 20 oil pastel studies of various ancient temple scenes. In this particular drawing, I limited myself to only red, blue, and white pastels.
Rishikesh, India
As one of the worlds biggest Beatles fans, I had to come to Rishikesh in India, where the Beatles stayed and wrote the White Album. George Harrison learned sitar from the Indian Guru Ravi Shankar, and it inspired in me a deep love of Indian music from a young age. I painted this mural at the musical hostel 12 Monks, as a tribute to the Ganga River. This mural is of Ravi's daughter Anoushka Shankar playing sitar on the Ganga in Rishikesh surrounded by the Himalayas.
JAIPUR, INDIA
This mural is located on the rooftop terrace of Pink City Backpackers Hostel in Jaipur, Rajestan. I was inspired by the Mugal Empire Era of miniature paitnings that define a specific aestetic of north Indian history. This mural is of three women located in a house.
ALOO BABA TEMPLE, INDIA
This collaborative mural is located on the East facing wall of the Aloo Baba Temple in Pushkar, India. Aloo Baba is a spiritual guru who only eats potatoes and lives in the desert. I first arrived with an artist from Kerala Amal @art_viator. We both sketched his portrait and then were asked to paint a mural.
PUSHKAR, INDIA
A warm sun flowing across a traditional doorframe based upon the face of my friend and jewelry teacher.Working alongside a street artist from Berlin, Germany, I painted a mural of a sun with yellow, blue, black, and the remanence of old signs left on this wall. This mural is located close to the sacred lake of Pushkar, and near the only Brahman temple in the world.
PAI, THAILAND
This jungle mural is located on the exterior wall of a cottage in the Hippy village of Pai, Thailand. Vines, leaves, and tropical plants wind around the windows and doors in front of a hazy pink background. I spent my time in this town going to the jungle regularly to hike, camp, watch butterflies, and enjoy the beautiful river. Unique vine formations inspired my painting.
PUSHKAR, INDIA
This mural is located in Jaipur India, also known as the Pink City. During the kings rule, he forced all civilians to paint their homes and stores this salmon shade of pink. When asked to paint a mural for the entrance of the Hostel, I wanted to create an original visual that people would remember while walking by, or while visiting. Something unique and unforgettable, while incorperating the traditional Rajasthani shape of door frames, and window frames, and the gorgeous pink color of the city.
MARIPOSA, CALIFORNIA
Living on a commune in Mariposa, California, I painted the entire interior of a Tiny Home from July to September 2020. We worked on the garden, compost, and with farm animals throughout the day in between adding our talents to the community.
Dublin, Ireland
Living a short while in a camper van outside of a "gaff" in Dublin Ireland (slang for house), I painted a mural on the door. The residents of the gaff were into meditation and chakras, so I painted my interpretation... with an abstracted blue mask and gloves because this was late march and the start of Irelands shut down.
BARCELONA, SPAIN
I spent almost a year living and studying in Barcelona, Spain, where my art is spread around the city in the form of posters, murals, poetry, and love. Here is a mural beside the Mediterranean where I prepared, through a graffiti interpretation of camels in the heat, to enter the Moroccan deserts the following week.
Chicago, Illinois
Collaborative Mural with the visionary and mosaic artist Tracy Van Duinen and other high school painters. I created the face of Gwendolyn Brooks, the poet and author who the middle school is named after. I used acrylic paint upon canvas.
Chicago, Illinois
Collaborative Mural with the visionary and mosaic artist Tracy Van Duinen. I created the painted extension of a wheel-throwing artist creating a bowl with a shelf of finished pieces. I used acrylic paint upon an air vent, camouflaging it into the wall of the lively art wing of my high school OPRF.
